Quick, Cold Oats

This is my breakfast at least three times a week. Once I discovered that you don’t have to cook old fashioned rolled oats because they are already lightly steamed, I tried them this way and never looked back. I love them cold! I combined all my favorites for this recipe because this is the way I like them, but mix it up and get creative. Breakfast couldn’t be any easier or more delicious than these oats.


1/2 cup old fashioned rolled oats
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1  banana, sliced
2  Medjool dates, pits removed and chopped
1 teaspoon 100% pure maple syrup, just a swirl
3  walnuts, chopped
1/2 cup soy milk, or more if you'd like
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon


  1. Add all ingredients to a serving bowl and stir. Enjoy!

Recipe Notes

You can use another non-dairy milk if you'd like!
